Regina, SK – The Saskatchewan Construction Safety Association (SCSA) announced today that President Collin Pullar has decided to step down from his role at the end of November, after more than a decade leading the organization. He has accepted a leadership position at the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan (TSASK) and will work with the SCSA’s interim leadership over the next two months to ensure a smooth transition.

Edward Pyle will assume the role of acting president and Loy Levesque will become acting vice president, effective October 5, 2026. Both have over a decade of experience with the SCSA and will continue to work with a committed board of directors on current strategy and plans, with industry involvement.

Under Pullar’s leadership since 2014, the SCSA has undergone organizational transformation, expanded its provincial reach with online and on-demand training, developed an industry analytics platform for every member company, modernized advisory services, advanced safety culture initiatives and achieved a 64 per cent reduction in construction sector injury rates across the province.

Brian Barber, Chair of the SCSA Board of Directors, thanked Pullar for his service and accomplishments in promoting the association’s mission. “Collin’s leadership has shaped this organization and had a positive impact on our industry. On behalf of the Board, I want to thank him for his dedication to the safety and well-being of Saskatchewan’s construction workforce. His work has helped employers reduce injuries and improve their safety performance, leaving the SCSA in a strong position to build on that momentum during the times ahead.”

On his planned departure, Pullar shared, “I have been privileged with the opportunity to lead the association and champion the important work to ensure safer construction workplaces. My sincere thanks to the SCSA board, employees, partners and our members for the care and effort they put into building a stronger industry. I am proud of the progress we have achieved together and know that work will continue on in good hands.”

The SCSA’s commitment to serving its members through safety certification programs, training, advisory services and resources remains unchanged throughout the transition.

A formal recruitment process to fill the permanent president role will be announced at a later date.
