Confined Space Monitoring and Entry

Description

Oxygen deficiency and inadequate air quality testing are leading causes of fatalities among confined space workers. Due to the nature of confined space work, it is crucial to ensure worker safety with training, education and communication. If workers are not properly informed and educated, this type of work can lead to serious health and safety hazards or even death. To mitigate confined space hazards in Saskatchewan, it is an employer’s responsibility to ensure risk assessments are conducted and that hazards are addressed accordingly to prevent accidents.

Saskatchewan safety associations designed this one-day course for those who work in and around confined space environments. Equipment demonstrations, section reviews and guided discussions are used throughout this course to provide a positive learning experience.
