WHMIS 2015 Train The Trainer – 2020 Edition

Description

This one-day course has been developed to support the needs of the Saskatchewan construction industry. Upon completion of the course and successful completion of the accompanying exam, learners receive a certificate as an approved WHMIS 2015 Trainer allowing them to present both generic and site-specific WHMIS to employees within their organization.

This course provides generic WHMIS 2015 training to meet regulatory requirements and supports all needs related to the Certificate of Recognition (COR®), Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR™), National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO®), and National Health and Safety Administrator (NHSA™) program requirements.

This course reflects the most current WHMIS requirements in alignment with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), incorporating all updates effective up to December 15, 2025.

Maintenance of Certification

To maintain WHMIS 2015 Train The Trainer certification, qualified trainers must complete one of the following options before the three (3) year expiration date:

  1. Challenge the exam and successfully pass with an 90%, or
  2. Attend the 1-day WHMIS 2015 Train The Trainer – 2020 Edition course (this step is required every six years)

WHMIS Worker Kits & On-Demand Training

This course is complimented with a Trainer’s Kit, which includes presentation material that can be modified to suit the need of the organization and jobsite.

The On Demand WHMIS Worker Training course provides employees who handle hazardous products with the general WHMIS knowledge required by regulations. Employees still need to be trained on site-specific hazards.

CEU Credits

Course hours can be used towards the Gold Seal Certification application for credits. Note: every 3 hours of learning equals 1 Gold Seal credit.

This course may be eligible for BCRSP CPD points through the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals and Continuing Education Units through the Sask Operator Certification Board.
